she's got a ticket to ride

Back when we went out to Philly, we actually took an Amtrak train back. Well, we went from Philly to DC. Then DC back home to Chicago. It was almost 100 bucks cheaper than flying and was so much fun. We got a sleeper car that was surprisingly really comfortable and Charlotte did awesome cozying up with one of us in the bunk.

(please excuse her unkempt hair.. I didn't worry too much about styling it while on a train)
When you book a sleeper car your dinner and breakfast are included. Charlotte was so excited (see above) when the waiter brought scrambled eggs (which she eats almost every morning).

And of course we had to get Crumbs Cupcakes while in DC.
Charlotte was quite a fan.
(don't mind her showing you the birdie)
We are definitely train people now. All of our trips that we're looking into for the future, we're always checking train routes. If you've got the extra time then a sleeper car is the way to travel. Especially if where you're traveling to has great scenery.

How fun. I have looked into the train thing a few times and it was always more expensive. Hopefully we get to do it soon. And yes, lets get the kids together for sure before we leave/if we leave. Yikes!

Good to know she has such good hygiene (q tips) and I'm lovin' the hair - it's getting so long! The train sounds like it was a good idea!

I've never even considered a train. It makes it seem so nice with a baby, a little more freedom. And a fun window view!

So neat - makes me want to try out a train now. Looks like it was a blast!
