The day she turned five months old we were flying to Washington so that post was all but forgotten. I did remember to take this shot before the day was over.
At five months old Jane had tried rice cereal and a few baby foods (sweet potatoes, apples, bananas, carrots). She got excited and then about five bites in started playing with it and blowing raspberries. A month later and that's still the same story. I don't think she'll be a baby food kind of baby. She loves mashed up food that comes from your plate. So far that's only been bananas, avocados, bread, noodles, apples, and maybe ice cream... But don't tell Ben... Or her pediatrician...
She is the most good natured baby I've ever met. Only fusses when she's tired or hungry. Stares at you and makes grunting noises until you look at her then rewards you with the biggest smile.
Loves the jumperoo but doesn't know you're supposed to jump. Kisses with a wide open mouth. Is content to sit in your lap and watch the action around her. Prefers to stand. Mostly giggles for Charlotte. We have to eat and tickle her to giggle and all Charlotte has to do is make a silly face. Still takes 2 1/2 naps that are solid and regular. Has been on four plane rides and never made a whimper or a cry on any of them.
Is a mama's girl : ) (which secretly makes me melt)
Not a ton has changed a month later. She now can roll back to front which she couldn't do about a week ago. Can sit up all by herself. Is easier to make giggle. Still sweet natured and so smiley. Has explosive poo which results in one blow out a day. Maybe two. Happened three times once...
I love this dolly so much. I call her my tiny but she sure ain't tiny. Doctor's appt today confirmed that - 21 lbs (95th percentile), 28 inches (above the 100th percentile). Future volleyball middle blocker at Stanford?
